Who are the Scaptanen? That was a long time ago... it must have been somewhere in the 500s, the Scaptanen lived... Just kidding! The Scaptanen, that's our team! The Scapta family. Each one of them has a unique story with hidden (and not so hidden) talents. Wonderful people who share a passion. Our Scapta family is growing! Would you like to get to know them?
Hi, meet:
Emma Erlich 👋 25 years old
Full-time cat mom 🐈 & creative bee 🐝
Enthusiastic digital marketer
How did you end up at Scapta?
A friend from PXL University College let me know that a temporary marketing position became available because Yentl was going on maternity leave. After an initial conversation, I was immediately enthusiastic, and 2.5 months later, I started my 4-month interim period. Those 4 months have now become 18 months, because 1.5 years later, I'm still here in my spot!
How were the first few moments? Did it feel right immediately?
Oh man, I was so nervous that first day. Still a bit green behind the ears and diving right into an IT company, super exciting! Luckily, I got to meet all the scaptans right away during a team-building event. A real baptism by fire! But even though corona threw some spanners in the works, I was welcomed with open arms everywhere. Yentl guided the handover really well, and in the meantime, we're a cozy two! That way, we can inspire each other and just get more work done, a real tandem.
How does it feel to be the youngest scCaptain?
Oh yeah, I had almost forgotten that! It usually doesn't feel like it either. It's a young team anyway, so I'm definitely not looked at any differently. I click with everyone and I appreciate that there's still a lot of room for me to grow!
Do you have a lot of freedom in your job?
Absolutely! We get a lot of room as marketers to develop our own ideas. We can really do our own thing here, get a lot of trust and responsibility. We manage our own time and always make sure the job is done! It’s really great to be able to and be allowed to work like this.

Are you experiencing a good work-life balance?
Absolutely! We're smoothly combining working from home and in the office. For some things, I need to be really focused, so I work better at home. For other tasks, I need social interaction, so it's much nicer to go to the office. I can arrange this myself depending on how my week looks, which is great, right?!
Currently, I don't have children or a family to consider, but I see that other colleagues are very well supported in this regard and can be very flexible. That's certainly reassuring!
Why should other people join Scapta too?
Scapta is a real team! We can always count on each other and help each other out when needed. That gives a really secure feeling. Scapta also really thinks about its employees. We organize team-building events, receive granola, soup, massages, incentives, etc. It’s really super motivating. This way, we always feel a sense of connection, which makes us stronger as a team!
Dilemma: You have to stay 1.5 meters away from all Christmas treats -OR- every time you hear the word ‘corona’ during the Christmas holidays, you sing a Christmas song in your underwear
Easy, nobody's taking my food! 😅 I love eating too much, and I don't mind singing. So Christmas carols in my underwear it is!
Scapta is for me ...My work family! 💙
