Who are the Scaptanen? That was a long time ago... it must have been somewhere in the 500s, the Scaptanen lived... Just kidding! The Scaptanen, that's our team! The Scapta family. Each one of them has a unique story with hidden (and not so hidden) talents. Wonderful people who share a passion. Our Scapta family is growing! Would you like to get to know them?
Hi, meet:
Wesley Stroeken 🙋♂️ 37 years old
Real family man 👨👩👦 who likes to hit a ball 🎾 after hours
During the day, proud Account Manager 👍
How long have you been working at Scapta?
Since October 2019, so almost 3 years. How time flies!
How does it feel to be team captain for 3 years?
Still remarkably good, actually! I had only started a few weeks ago and was just really getting into the swing of things when corona came knocking. Suddenly, your job changes again, and your colleagues sort of disappear. Or rather, you experience it in a very different way. However, Scapta handled this incredibly well, allowing me to continue growing, both in my job and within the team! Bring on the next few years!
For those who don't know Scapta. Can you briefly tell us what Scapta is and what your day looks like?
Renewal, that sums it up nicely, I think! Scapta is a pioneer in Business Central SaaS developments and we are fully in the cloud. Scapta also stands for a real family atmosphere. Throughout the entire company, among all colleagues, you can really feel it!
And within this whole Scapta picture, I'm responsible for sales.
What was your first impression of Scapta?
A first day is always exciting! However, I ended up in a warm office in Hasselt with all Limburgers. The atmosphere is immediately good then, right? I already had experience in the same sector, so luckily the transition wasn't too abrupt.
What makes your job challenging?
Discovering new projects again and again, searching for the right solution, and meeting different people each time. That combination is worth gold to me!

What qualities does a future starship captain definitely need?
A captain is down-to-earth, always with their feet on the ground. Or even… with their bones in the field, as Alex would say. You need to be able to fend for yourself, roll up your sleeves – that’s what we like!
What is your most beautiful Scapta memory?
Oh, I have a lot, but the last team-building event in Bolderwoods was really worth it! We got to throw axes and break a spear with our necks. Emma, in particular, will remember that well, haha! Directions was also great, meeting so many new people at one event. That's just awesome!
There are also so many fun things coming up, I'm looking forward to it!
1. Curious 2. Analytical 3. Imaginative
Down-to-earth, future-oriented, family! That seems like the perfect summary!
"The only way to do great work is to love what you do."
Scapta is DONE, honest and sincere!
