Tech giant Microsoft recently shared interesting data on the performance of Dynamics 365 Business Central, their cloud ERP solution for SMEs. The number of Business Central users has doubled compared to last year. And this result is largely due to the acquisition of more than 10,000 new customers from around the world in just 12 months. Undoubtedly an impressive achievement that sees Business Central crowned the world's fastest-growing ERP solution for the mid-market.
Mike Morton, general manager at Microsoft, shared some interesting growth figures during the DIRECTIONS event for Dynamics 365 Business Central partners from Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. One of the most striking figures? There are over 20,000 organizations active on the Business Central SaaS platform. Just a year ago, Business Central surpassed the milestone of 10,000 customers.
A very impressive achievement, from 10,000 customers to over 20,000 in just 12 months. That's more than 800 new customers per month, growth that many local ERP competitors dream of. The growth is clearly on an upward trend, as figures between October 2019 and November 2020 show us. During that period, monthly growth was an increase of 500 new customers.
Microsoft's goal for the near future? To make Business Central the best ERP solution for small and medium-sized businesses worldwide. One of the areas of focus is further streamlining the implementation. The process should become simpler, faster, and cheaper going forward.
Meanwhile, the tech giant continues to increase the number of localized versions, currently in over 100 countries, to make the solution globally available. To ensure continued growth, the partner ecosystem is also regularly adding new certified apps to AppSource.
The rapidly growing onboarding process, the number of localized versions, the quality resellers, and the increasing number of available apps promise much for further rapid growth in the near future.
