Nucleus Research names Microsoft a leader in the 2021 ERP Technology Value Matrix. The entire market of ERP solution providers was scrutinized. All vendors are analyzed and evaluated in this research on aspects such as functionality and usability. After that, they are divided into four categories. Microsoft is scoring high here with its complete Dynamics 365 ERP offering and scores highest in the ‘leader’ category. Great result!

The market is flooded with ERP solutions today. Looking for a new match? But where to start when there's an abundance of choice? You can hardly compare all providers with each other. Fortunately, others have already done this for you. Nucleus's analyst research will undoubtedly be useful in your search.

This is the general market consensus from the Nucleus research:

“Despite the disruption the pandemic caused last year, we saw increased demand for ERP solutions across all sectors, especially among mid-sized companies. As employees shift to remote work and hybrid setups, the pains of on-premises solutions, disjointed systems, and manual processes far outweigh the costs of an ERP cloud migration for many businesses. ERP vendors are moving towards a Platform-as-a-Service delivery model. This allows customers to build their own applications on top of a microservices layer for core functionalities, including analytics, chatbots, data management, and API management tools. Artificial Intelligence and IoT capabilities are current areas of focus. Vendors are competing on the extensibility of their platforms through no-code customizations and application development.”

According to Nucleus Research, Microsoft has two unique ERP offerings with Dynamics 365 Business Central and Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management.

This is what the report says about Microsoft Dynamics 365:
“Microsoft utilizes a customer feedback model allowing the vendor to continue its customer-centric approach through community channels and user studies. Updates throughout the year focus on improvements to core functionalities and IT compatibility. The simplification of dimension editing for tasks like journal entries was initiated in response to prior issues when correcting user-entered errors. Remote workers benefited the most, as the update allowed for rapid improvement without the need for IT personnel. Microsoft continued its efforts for a user-friendly approach by enabling personalized app integration through enhanced VS Code. Additionally, for ISVs, Microsoft offers extension lifecycle telemetry as part of the app submission process on the AppSource platform.”

Microsoft is working hard to continuously innovate and improve Dynamics 365. The R&D investments, the continuous updates to core functionalities, and the flexible extension capabilities are unparalleled. And that's not all; the fast and affordable cloud implementations and the simple adaptability based on the NoCode approach, chatbots, and innovative features like Artificial Intelligence and IoT make Dynamics 365 Business Central/Finance & Supply Chain Management the perfect solution for medium-sized businesses that want to be future-proof today.

However, that's not all for Dynamics 365 customers. Thanks to the Microsoft partner ecosystem and AppSource, they have access to a unique and enormous offering for the entire business and technology stack. So, Dynamics 365 is definitely worth considering, without a doubt!
