Networking with flavor: a successful evening at KRC Genk

Not everyone enjoys it: sneaking up on a group of complete strangers, asking a clever question, and then keeping the conversation going. And yet, that's largely what networking entails. But fortunately, there are ways to oil the wheels a bit: sports and alcohol.

At KRC GENK, they certainly know what they're doing when they invite their season ticket holders to the second networking event of the season: a wine tasting at Burgio Vino e Gastronomia. A beautiful setting, delicious food and drinks, and – of course – a competition at the end with a great prize. Divided into tables, you not only compete for the top prize in a blind tasting (a beautiful magnum), but you also get to talk about what you can offer as a business partner. A winning formula, indeed.

When you head home at the end of the evening with a second-place finish – the most unrewarding in professional sports, as the first loser – and a lot of interesting contacts, you can only conclude that the evening was well spent and that you'll be back for gold next time.
